Commercial Electrical and Design

Inland Kenworth - El Cajon, California

CMT Alpine Electric completed a new building in El Cajon, CA, for Inland Kenworth, Inc.  The building project consisted of onsite and offsite utility improvements consisting of street lighting, power and Telco utility service extensions.  The Building consisted of office, parts warehousing, sales, meeting areas and heavy truck repair.  The exterior parking areas consisted of area lighting, freeway signage and local signage.

We offered specific design and value engineering services to meet the demands of the customer and budget.  The building was approximately 15,000 square feet and CMT Alpine Electric, Inc. provided high performance high bay lighting, truck wash power and lighting, and explosion proof lighting and wiring in the Service Truck pit.

CMT Alpine Electric, Inc. provided all equipment power supplies and termination along with the complete data cabling and Telco work. Completed in May 2012

USMC Dip Tank facility - Barstow, California

CMT Alpine Electric Inc. is currently performing a design build service for the build out of the parts cleaning building and related equipment for the government.

Work consists of offsite, onsite and interior building power/Fire Alarm, Data, Security, Solar Power, lighting, and specialized equipment power and termination.

Design Build

MCB Camp Pendleton

Renovation of the Quonset Huts at MCB Camp Pendleton.  Complete renovation of the interiors, new main electrical services, and aerial feeds for 35 Quonset Huts.

MCLB Barstow Dip Tank - Barstow, CA

Dip Tank Facility; Complete Design / Build for ground up building. Provide all Electrical Design and specifications as per the customer “Request For Proposal” based on general design and customer use Criteria issued by the customer.

Design required close communication with the customer and all building trades to provide an efficient and cost effective design that stayed within our proposed cost and construction time line.

Work included Primary High Voltage Electric Service bro up from an existing Unit Substation that provided service to our new Primary transformer for the facility. A 50 KW Solar Voltaic Power system was also designed for the roof top to enhance the LEED and Title 24 design criteria. An Emergency Generating Natural Gas Generator was designed with generating capacity for the facility. A complete Power/Lighting/Telco/Security/PA/and Fire Alarm system was designed and approved by the customer. Special attention was required in the design stages to enable all trades materials to be installed without conflict with other trades and physical building design and measurement. Coordination and design with the Mechanical Equipment and their controls was very important and successful.

Medical Tenant Services

UCSD Hillcrest Hospital - San Diego, California

CMT Alpine Electric Inc. has performed many projects at this facility utilizing all required incoming and outgoing air quality and infectious controlled space procedures.  Close coordination is required between contractors and Hospital Engineering staff due to close and confined space access. Recently completed projects are as follows:

1. Air Intake Project, consisted of a new Mechanical Intake remodel of the Main Mechanical External make up air system for the Hospital. Our work consisted of lighting, added emergency power circuits and controls.
2. Doctor Lounge remodel, consisted of complete demolition of approximately 2,000 square feet of space, removal of Fire Alarm components, removal of all electrical components including lighting. Replace all removed items with new, per plans and specifications. 

UCSD Student Health Care Facility - La Jolla, California

CMT Alpine Electric, Inc. finished this project on the customers demanding schedule. This project was very difficult and required all trades to coordinate and work together. This was a complete interior demolition and removal, including hazardous materials abatement. Work included new power, Data, Fire Alarm, Lighting and controls, along with sizable HVAC modifications

Military Projects

Predator Hangar for US National Guard- Victorville, California

Alpine Electric Inc. completed the Electrical, Telco, Data, lightning protection, Aircraft grounding and tie down, and on and offsite services for this specialized Hangar for the Predator Drone Aircraft.

Building ceiling height was 45 feet. This was a bid / build out project with a fixed cost basis. Completed in April 2012.

Hangar 323 at Point Mugu - Ventura, CA

Pt. Mugu, Bid / Build Tenant Improvement
Our work consisted of special coordination with the General Contractor and all trades as the existing building first floor was our primary area of work. It consisted of approximately 30,000 Square feet of Tenant Improvement work. Our scope was inclusive of a new Power Generator system integrated with the existing Power Distribution System.

Work included a new Automatic Transfer switch and all related controls. All new lighting and power requirements including 5 new Power panels were met per the drawings. Special attention was made in several Top Security areas requiring SAP ingress and egress. Top Security Door controls and monitoring were provided along with a new Fire Alarm System. Due to existing conditions, the Mechanical Contractor scope was inclusive of major structural requirements to the building for the installation of their new equipment which required close coordination with our trade and others.

Telecommunication

Construction for broadcast communications, both new and retrofit for Comcast, Richland Towers, and KPBS.   New construction and equipment retrofits for the telecommunication industry including AT&T Mobility, Sprint/Nextel, and Cricket, Qualcomm, and Petco Park

Aircraft Hangars

Brown Field

Construction of new 12,000 square foot aircraft hangar, tenant Improvements, Fixed Base Operations, and above ground fueling systems at Brown Field Airport in San Diego, California..

Schools - New and Remodels

Sweetwater High School District - Welding Shop - Chula Vista, California

This was a bid build fixed cost contract.
Scope of work was to provide offsite and onsite utility power and Telco services to the new proposed facility. CMT Alpine Electric, Inc. provided all power, lighting, controls and equipment power supplies as designed. We provided Fire Alarm, Paging, and Security systems as per plans and specifications. Completed in March 2012

CHULA VISTA HIGH SCHOOL - BUILDING 100 COSMETIC CLASSROOM RENOVATION

This was a bid build fixed cost contract.  Scope of work was to upgrade five classrooms, including installing new ceiling fans in each classroom and to upgrade all electrical finishes

ST MICHAELS CATHOLIC CHURCH GYMNASIUM RENOVATION - POWAY, CA

Provide a Building Permit Design/Build set of drawings and specifications for an interior remodel of the Gymnasium, locker Rooms, men and women’s Restrooms and Kitchen upgrade. Work consisted of relocating power panel feeds, new circuitry, new Title 24 lighting throughout with special attention made towards the Gymnasium lighting, and removal of all exposed conduit and apparatuses on the Gymnasium walls to make a clean smooth surface for a quality interior look. Exterior lighting for building security and walkway task lighting was also designed and installed. Time line and critical path scheduling was encountered as the work was started and finished between school break.
